I’ve not used VP11 since receiving the disc 4 months ago. Initially the programme needed updating and the VP website didn’t recognise me. I evenually got that sorted but in testing everything I found that BlueFX caused the programme to crash when I attempted to open the BluFX library. An update for this came out two weeks ago but the problem persists. I now also have interference on the preview screen and the final blu ray disc consisting of broken vertical lines across the screen. The settings appear to be the same as my VP 9 software which is working okay so I’m not sure of the cause or the solution. Sony’s support have stopped supporting me.

Try turning off GPU acceleration of video processing under Options | Preferences | Video. That may give you a bit more stability.

Thank you John, the lines have disappeared. Will the fact that GPU is turned off have any detrimental effects?

I can work with it now but am still disappointed I can’t use the Bluefx library – one of the reasons for upgrading to pro 11 from 9. I just tried it and the whole computer crashed

[Roger Crunden] “Will the fact that GPU is turned off have any detrimental effects? “

Not really. Your playback will not be GPU accelerated so it may be a little choppy or it may be fine. Vegas Pro 11.0 is the first version of Vegas to have GPU acceleration so you are no worse off than using Vegas Pro 10.0 or earlier.
