September 9, 2011 at 11:43 pm“Crash” is a horribly broad and inaccurate term. Exactly what happens at 11-min? any error messages?
run the Task Manager and click on Performance. Start another “render as” and tell me if the memory usage climbs steadily during the encoding.

September 11, 2011 at 12:50 pmHey Stephen, you’re right. Crash is pretty inaccurate.
Just to be clear. This happens not when rendering the project – I even havn’t tried rendering. This happens when I do have so many clips in the project that the film is about 10-12min long. And if so… it doesn’t crash immediately. It can happen at anytime then… f.e. previewing it, adding effects to certain clips and so on.
When I am talking about crash, I simply mean, that the Vegas-Window freezes. It’s getting grey and you can’t do anything. The only thing you can do then is, to kill it with the Task Manager.

September 11, 2011 at 2:02 pmYou could still be running out of memory. The Gray Screen of death could simply be the RAM swapping with Virtual Memory. How long do you wait before killing the task?

September 13, 2011 at 1:55 pmI still can’t help but think that you have a drive in your workflow that is formatted FAT-32. Use the Control Panel to go to the Disk Manager. Do you see FAT-32 anywhere?
