January 5, 2011 at 5:11 amLet’s bring any newbies up to the present…here’s the 10.x upgrade issues…this is GOOD news not a slam. I like a company that publishes what it fixes. This shows me that there are active Program Managers that are logging bugs, and developers who are prioritizing and fixing them. There are ALWAYS bugs in software, and always will be, a developer and test team CANNOT test every possible sceneario, so upgrading is preferable to not as long as you know the issues you face (ie. do you have enough RAM, etc.) Not all users will experience ALL of these problems. Some are unique to specific hardware situations, or things like AVCHD. I don’t work for or have any interest in Sony, but have worked for a major software company in the past, and know how the sausage gets made. It’s ugly folks…(G)

Fixed an issue smart rendering to MPEG-2 standard definition.
I’ve been told on these forums that smart rendering to MPEG-2 standard definition is basically impossible …. since Vegas won’t let you render MPEG-2 SD without resampling the whole file.
What exactly did they fix – switching off the functionality completely?! 🙂
