    Hello everyone,

I have a technical problem with Vegas Pro 10 that I hope somebody will be able to help me with.

I’m using an ATI Radeon 6950 in my PC but I simply cannot get Vegas Pro 10 to recognise the card and allow me to render using the GPU.

    My software details are:

    • Windows 7 64 bit.
    • Vegas Pro 10e 64 bit.
    • ATI Radeon 6950 with catalyst driver version 11.12.
    • AMD APPv2 OpenCL SDK is installed. GPU Caps viewer reports that OpenCl version is OpenCL 1.1 AMD-APP (831.4)
    • MS .NET 4 installed

I think that’s all the pertinent information, but if there’s anything else that anyone needs to know then please just ask.

However, no matter what I try, I just cannot get Vegas to recognise my video card. When I try to render an AVC file, and click the “Check GPU” button found in “Custom Settings > System”, I just get the “No GPU Available” message.

I’ve searched online for solutions, but I cannot find anything that helps.

Any suggestions as to how I could get this working would be very gratefully received!

    Thanks,

    Jonathan

I had the same problem with my Radeon. The exact model was listed as compatible with GPU acceleration on Sony’s website, but nothing worked. I bought a GeForce GTS 450, which works, though eventually I’ll upgrade that. And even with that, if I get the latest driver, Vegas doesn’t work at all.
