July 8, 2008 at 6:36 amOn my computer, Z performs a track mute, and the mute button on the selected track shows it is muted. This did not appear to be the case on David’s screenshot.
As I said, just a theory.

October 6, 2009 at 12:29 pmI know this is an old thread, but I just struggled with the same bit. My video was greyed out, or disabled, just as if audio tracks were soloed. I could therefore not see any video in the preview window. No button indicator showed this, however, and when I tried to open a new project the settings was the same.
After trying all preferences and settings, I resorted to trying all menu options in Vegas Video. Finally, I came to “options” and “Mute all video”. It must be a relic from the developers that this setting is not linked with the individual solo/mute buttons in the track view.
It was unbelievable frustrating to look for, and I lost two hours of work. I searched again for “mute all video” in google, to see if the solution was present, and I found this entry. That’s why I thought I might add my confirmation, as well as the search words I used in Google, should anyone else struggle with this stupid omission in Vegas and do their own googling.
