July 8, 2008 at 4:05 amHold the alt key and press the print screen key. This will copy the highlighted window (Vegas in your case) to the clipboard. Then open paint and past it in. Save it as a jpeg and post it. Danny Hays

July 8, 2008 at 5:07 amGenius…. after reseting to defaults its game on!!!
It was the mute switch… However, this time when i toggled the mute switch i could see the state changes of my scenes thus the preview window also turning on/off etc…
wonder what it was?

July 8, 2008 at 5:40 amWell if you go in the customize toolbar and add the “mute all video tracks” to the toolbar, you can toggle that and see if it affects the timeline.

July 8, 2008 at 6:23 amI’m guessing…that because it appears his track mute was not selected, then maybe he had turned on Mute All Video under Options.
Just a hunch. How it happened is another matter. There doesn’t seem to be a keyboard shortcut that he could have hit by mistake. He would have to have gone into Options and made the selection. Still, stranger things have happened. (cue Twilight Zone music)
