Vegas MS Platinum file size limit.
I’m trying to decide which quality setting to use for a certain project. I used handbrake to convert videos into .m4v using the H264 codec. I tested 10 different presets differing only in bitrate (from 500kbps to 5,000kbps at intervals of 500kbps). When I converted 2 minute video clip into each one of my presets I was able to import each one into Vegas MS Platinum to take screen shots of the same frames in each. Now I have tried the same thing with an entire movie, But Vegas MS will not import the files at or above 3,000 kbps. Does Vegas have a file size limit? Does it have any other limit I am unaware of, but might be encountering here?

Actually, now that I think about it I have worked with files up to 26GB in size. So I’m not sure why these specific files will not load.
Since my last post I have even used the same 10 presets for a shorter segment of that same video which wasn’t working before. The smaller files opened just fine. So what could be causing the problems with only the larger files?
