    Hi all, every time I capture any footage with a Canon XH-A1, the last frame is out of sync just prior to the next clip. In the timeline & at the end of each clip is shown the first half frame of the next clip.

    Any ideas how to rectify this problem, please?

    I shoot with the same camera (actually, the Canon XH-A1s), and I’ve noticed the same thing. I don’t know that this is a problem per se with the Vegas software, but it’s just where the software detects the start of a new clip, and it cuts clip A off about a frame into clip B. Shouldn’t be a problem if you just edit it out on the timeline.

    This has nothing to do with your camera and is a known bug in the Sony HDV capture utility. I keep scene detection off when I capture because of this. Some people use alternate capture programs like HDVSplit and CapDVHS. I have not tried either but I’m told they don’t have this problem.
