Vegas Crashes….again
Hi to all! i’m really new of video editing and i started using Sonyvegas. It’s a great program but this evening it starts to crash everytime i try to import media file. This is the first error it gives me
“an error occurred opening media file
File name
specify a replacement media
ignore error and live media file offline
ignore this and all subsequent error
after that some file remain permanently offline”then some media of the project i opened remain permanently offline and another error appears i’ve a laptop with Vista and the version i use is 8.0b and looking in the forum it seems that 8.0c is more stable. Is it true?
Can i do something different? unfortunately i cannot understand which is the real problem.

What media are you importing?
It could be a codec problem for either the video or the audio portion of the file as in you don’t have the correct codec installed.I’m using Vegas8b and it works fine with DV footage. Haven’t looked at 8c.
You may want to uninstall Vegas 8b, then install again.
