  • Vegas & Architect crash when I import a file of 3.2 GB

I capture Digital video MPG or HDTV on through my digital TV..in my 64 Bit AMD PC with 1GB ram.

when I import these into Architect, it crashes…I assumed then that it would best to import it into Vegas & render into smaller file, but it crashes as well… is this because the files are too big? I though that XP could handle files uo to 4gig…

It’s definitely NOT the size of the file. XP can handle files MUCH larger than 4Gig. You say they’re MPG files – what brand of MPG? MPEG 1? MPEG 2? MPEG 4?

Why don’t you just capture as standard DV-AVI?
