Hey! (sorry if this has being answered before)

I got Sony Vegas pro 8c and I’m very comfortable with it. But when it comes to render .mov files, darn! I got a filmclip in Custom (704×480; 29,970 fps) (704×480; 29,970 fps), 8bits, Best render quality. In “Render As…” i select .mov (uncompressed or one of the others, depens on what i want), I chose a directory and presses render. Then i get the error “”An error occurred while creating the media file mov13.mov, An unsupported media type was requested”. What to do? When I try it second time I get the message: An error occurred while creating the media file mov13.mov, The file could not be opened because some other application already has it open.

    Help me! 🙁

Do you have the latest Quicktime 7.6 installed? You need to have Quicktime 7 installed in order to render to MOV format. Other than that it should work.

I have Vegas 6.0 on XP. I know its arcaic but it still works for me. I have rendered out .mov files before, but now it’s giving me an error. First, it said to make sure there was enough disc space, but I have 130 gbs of free space on my drive. Now, it’s only saying that the file can not be created. and it takes 4 hours to get to 75% complete then justs fails. What is going on? any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks, Blake
