I have the new Panasonic DVX200 camera. Works great but I’m new to this LUTs thing. I’ve read that is possible to apply the LUT starting in Vegas12. Does anyone have any information as to where to get these LUTS and do the appear and apply like any other FX?
ALSO, I’m thinking that I can do just about anything with the Vegas FX like curves and do the same thing that a pre-defined LUT will do. Am I right in this?

No you are wrong, LUT’s are more advanced and gives you far better results.
Here is a link for a very advanced, robust yet free LUT plugin For Vegas:

Vision Color LUT’s and those from MotionVFX are my favorite…

    Hi Steve,
I picked up that free LUT from Sony. I’ve installed it and it appears in my Video FX tab.
I’ve shot a few things using Vlog and they are on my timeline and of course look very grey, etc.
When I drop the LUT onto the event, there is no change whatsoever.
    What am I doing wrong.
    Thanks
    Roger

Roger, I have no idea if this will help or not but I just came across these videos a very short time ago.

Thanks for the tutorial info. I had seen one of them prior.

I thought I read somewhere a few days ago that Vegas Pro 12 worked with LUTS. Now I’m not sure. Hope I don’t need to upgrade to V13.

    VisionColor’s plugin requires V13.
Magic Bullet Looks 3.0 can apply LUTs (it works in V12)

Are you saying that it doesn’t work with Vegas 12 and can only be used within Magic Bullet?
Not sure how to apply it within Magic Bullet either.

    Hi Steve,
I’ve been busy with other editing projects but want to get back to this LUT issue. I’m using Vegas pro 12 and when I apply the LUT absolutely nothing happens. Can you tell me what I’m missing here.

    Thanks. Roger
