[andrew taylor] “Vegas will not allow me to import mp4 form my Glaxy S4”
So you expect software created in 2009 to edit video from a phone created in 2013? You should probably upgrade your software if you want to work with modern video formats.
[andrew taylor] “So i used wmv and the quality is poor.”
Yup, no one should use WMV. It’s a horrible format and Vegas Pro does edit it very well either.
[andrew taylor] “How can i get round this quality problem?”
Upgrade your Video Pro so that you can natively edit the AVC/H.264 video that your camera produces. Otherwise you might try converting the footage to MJPEG using a tool like AviDemux 2.5. I think Vegas Pro 9.0 can edit MJPEG files (although I haven’t used i in so long I really don’t remember). You can also download the free GoPro Studio and convert the footage into CineForm files.
