  Vegas and DVCProHD / Varicam / HDX900 / Support

  There’s lots of talk about DVCProHD P2 support for the HVX200 — via Serious Magic’s DVCProHD Decoder, Raylight’s codec, and Cineform’s ConnectHD. The question I have is will any of these solutions work with the Panasonic Varicam? If so, what happens if the Varicam is under/overcranked? Also, because the Varicam is 8-bit, using Vegas is “lossless” in terms of DVCProHD editing…correct? Lastly, which is best? Serious Magic? Raylight? ConnectHD? Thank you 🙂
