  • Vegas 9.0d no longer handles .MPA files?

Folks! Is anyone finding the same issue? In Vegas 8.0c I have no problems importing .MPA audio files. In both 32 and 64-bit v9.0d it’s a problem. 32-bit comes up with an error dialogue of ‘file can’t be opened’ and 64-bit comes up with the Sony error reporting dialogue box and once that is dispensed with Vegas then closes down.
    Any ideas, any solutions?

Contact Sony support and let them know.
It should work without issue, HDV is the same format, unless you’ve got some odd container. However, there were some minor bugs with mpeg video that may have carried over to mpg audio files in some strange manner.
Assuming the files opened properly in 9c?

Have already reported to Sony. Plus sent them a sample .mpa audio file just in case it is a container/wrapper issue. Yes all worked fine in 9.0c, just tried it on another box that hasn’t been upgraded yet. HDV is fine in all versions. Wait untill I hear back I guess.
No big problem, just bringing them into 8.0c and redering them out as .wav or .mp3 as required.

    Cheers
