Vegas 9.0b losing firewire preview out
Just wonder if anyone else is having a problem with Vegas Pro 9.0b [64bit] losing it’s preview screen output, with or without firewire out. System is Vista 64, i7 3Gig cpu, Asus P6T mobo with 12GB of DDR 3/1600 ram, 4 disc hardware Raid 0. Thought this issue was behind us with the release of 9.0b. Sadly not!
9.0b works fine for a while then for no rhyme or reason just loses output. Seems to happen mostly with DV [PAL]. Can happen while editing or even when the unit hasn’t been touched for 10-20 minutes or so. Oddly haven’t seen it disappear in a 1920 x 1080 MXF job yet. Very boring having to restart Vegas multiple times to keep the preview alive. Vegas 8.0c [32bit] on the same box has no problems at all. In fact I get better playback out of it.

Chris, I don’t see this as an issue in the “Release Notes” Vegas® Pro 9.0 August 2009″ at this site: https://sony-234.vo.llnwd.net/dspcdn/releasenotes/vegaspro90b_readme_enu.htm.
Now, that might mean EITHER they haven’t noted it OR it is local to your machine OR both of these. Until somebody here or “elsewhere” has stumbled on this, I can’t add anything further than to say open a “ticket” at SONY:
