  Vegas 9 x64 will not load any x64 Audio Plug-ins in Win 7

  At first I figured something must have happened during my install, so I did a complete uninstall of all Sony Media products per the Sony Knowledge base. I did an admin install of latest rev Vegas9e X64, which seemed to install fine.

  Unfortunately, new Audio tracks are still opening up without the Track EQ, Noise Gate and Compression plug-ins loaded already. If I try to load ANY audio plug-in (including the X64 plug-ins bundled with Vegas) I get this error message:
  “The plug-in could not be run. One or more components required to run this plug-in may be missing. If a hardware key (dongle) is required to operate this plug-in, ensure that it is properly installed. The COM object failed to initialize.”

  My system:
  Gigabyte GA-EP45T-USB3P Motherboard
  Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450
  4 Gigs RAM

  Please help! I can’t be the only person with this problem. Maybe there is a permission problem in my Win 7 installation?
