Vegas 8 works great for me so I tried the trial verision of Vegas 9 and could not get the DV footage to show more then the first, last and middle thumbnail on the timeline. What gives? These files always show every frame in ver 8 at any zoom level.
Tried looking for a setting, didn’t find it and there’s no reference to it in the manual.
Looks like I wont be upgrading any time soon.

    Options | Preferences | Thumbnails.
Reset it from the default Head/Center/Tail to ALL.
It’s not a bug, it’s a feature. And it *is* listed in the help guide (and the new Vegas Pro 9 Editing Workshop book. 😉

    This is the exact procedure:

Options | Preferences | Video Tab

and from the drop-down list in “Thumbnails to show in video events”
    select “All”.

Apply and … you will see what you are looking for!

In the next version of Vegas I hope to see this options working over the right mouse button, as usual in every all programs.

Douglas: I was intending buying your book. But, is it accurate enough?

    Thanks
