I have just switched to vegas9 from an older program (Nova Video Explosion) seems like the same program. Anyways, I did a quick 6 minute video test to see the quality change.. After the render (mpeg2)and burn to DVD I checked it in my dvd player on the Television the Video image is awesome compared to Nova but it dropped the sound completely. I am using a Sony digital handy cam tvc-350 (yea, its old but works for now) The sound is on the test screen and all the effects and text overlays are there but the sound is missing on the final product.
I used Nero as my program to burn but I rendered in vegas. I didn’t want to learn the Arichtect yet for this test.
Should I render in a different format? Avi or something else? Format is a very new concept. Nova had only mpeg2 format choice if your were burning a dvd. I hope you can help me.
    Any ideas, would be great.

mpeg2 is the correct format to render in when creating DVD’s.
From following your workflow, your audio drop on your final
output is coming from an issue with Nero, not Vegas.
