I had Vegas 9 open as I was gathering data (serial #s, etc) for SONY support and Vegas stopped working after 5 minutes. It was just sitting there–not importing, editing or anything. I have had several successful import/edit sessions with this software with my PD-150, and the only change since then was the “Device error” message on the import device screen the first time I tried to capture HDV from a Z1-U. (When I turned the camera off, then back on, the import device behaved normally without the “Device error” message”, then the message appeared saying “Vegas 9 has stopped Working” after about 5 minutes of importing footage. It happened several times in a row.

In the camera, the “i-Link convert” is set to “off” (I have read about this in other posts).

    Thank you,

    Hutch
