Hi all from South Africa and zero Vegas support. I have used Vegas5 for many years with DVCam and recently with the upgrade to the JVC201E i have upgraded to Vegas Pro 8 and now the boost to 8c. I am also using a BR-HD50 deck. Bench is Windows XP Pro with Servicepack 2, Core 2 Duo, 2.4GHz and 3,25GB Ram

    Problems

The scenes split into far more clips than the pushing of start / stop during recording, The clips are great on the camera and yet are lost to the hard drive during capture

Playback on Screen Preview is very jerky no matter what i set the preview to………Vegas 7 did not have this issue

No batch capture during HDV and also clip tape reference not shown in the name

I get green blocks on the timeline and yet not on the camera

I have error and complete crashing when loading large numbers of clips into the media bins………..this is around 2 hrs of media……….. the system gives an error and shuts down without any saving taking place.

Can anyone assist with ideas and also is anyone using the JVC 201E?

    appreciate your help

    Tim

I’m having the same problem capturing from a JVC 200u in 720P60. I’m not that familiar with Vegas though and am coming from Final Cut. I’m not sure if what is causing this is Vegas not being able to handle 720p60 though.
