Vegas 8, Vista & HuffyUV
Hi There,
I’m using Vegas 8 and Windows Vista.
I’ve received a load of HuffyUV files from a client and when I attempt to import them into Vegas I only get the audio data on the timeline.
I downloaded the Huffyuv 2.2.0 codec and put the .DLL file into program files/sony/vegas, but still no enjoy!
Does anyone have a solution to this?

There’s no mention on the main site that HuffYUV works with Vista.
It does work with VirtualDub though so you can try loading the files into that (free) program and saving them out as AVI file for import into Vegas. -

The correct way to install Huffyuv is to right click on huffyuv.inf and select “Install”.
Huffyuv 2.2.0 is the first version that works on Vista. Huffyuv 2.1.1 and earlier do not.
