Vegas 8 crashes with crossfades
Hello,
I have a quad core Vista 64 bit computer. When I overlap two files on the same track to crossfade(either manually or automatically) in Vegas 8b, a number of bad things happen:
1)the transition scrubs fine but the crossfade in real time blacks out the second file.
2)I get an error message and the program locks up when I play the
transition.In both cases the program crashes.
I welcome any help.

Can you provide anymore details about what file types you are using, if any other transitions work and if it has ever worked in the past for you.
