Vegas 8 Capture sees HV40 and controls but doesn’t capture
I’ve just upgraded from XP to Windows 7. Vegas 8 seems to be running fine but I’ve got issues with capturing video. The computer sees the Canon HV40 and controls it, but there is no image on the actual capture screen, and when I use the capture button, nothing actually gets captured.
I thought the problem may be that this new computer has a dedicated graphics card which does not have firewire, and the firewire I’m using is separate from the graphics card?
Can anybody help please?

Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
It’s frustrating that Vegas seems to be working fine, except that now I can’t capture video.
Is it a software problem or a firewire problem?
