Vegas 7 – resolutions over 1440?
I had to recently format my computer, and I’m having a problem with Vegas 7 Platinum I’ve never had before.
I fraps a lot of Warcraft footage in 1680×1050, but for some reason Vegas refuses to let me render out any of my videos in anything higher than 1440×1050 most of the time.
I can create a new project through the wizard using 1680×1050 settings and so long as I don’t open up the File>Properties at all, or close the project, then I can render the project out without difficulty in the 1680×1050 resolution.
If I do open the Properties and hit “Okay”, it’ll snap the project settings down to 1440×1050. If I go back into the properties and manually type in 1680×1050 and hit apply, nothing happens. It just stays at 1440×1050. Same thing if I close a saved project. If I reopen it, it’s at 1440×1050 and I can’t get the settings back up to 1680×1050.
I get similar problems with the rendering too. If the project is already stuck at 1440×1050, and if I set the frame size to Custom at 1680×1050, when I hit Okay I get the error “Vegas does not support output of frame sizes greater than 1440 x 1050. The template you selected has been removed from the template list.”
Does anyone know what could be causing this? I know it’s possible to render videos greater than 1440×1050 because I just made one the other day. I can technically work around my issue by using the wizard, not closing my project, and not opening the Properties at all, but it’s getting to be an inconvenience.
