Last month I upgraded my Vegas 4 to Vegas 7 + DVD A4. After installation I realized that my old program Vegas 4 was not automatically uninstalled while the newly installed Vegas 7 + DVD A4 took up a whopping 350 MB of my C drive which now has barely 1 GB of storage space left. I have uninstalled quite a number of dispensable files and programs in order to increase storage space but have not yet uninstalled the old Vegas 4 including its setup files for fear this might affect the new program. Is my fear unfounded? If it is ok to uninstall Vegas 4, which would be the better or safer way to do it, i.e. by clicking the uninstall icon of the program itself or removing it from the control panel? Uninstalling the old program would increase my storage space by another 120 MB. All my project and veg files are stored in a separate drive. Advice and comments greatly appreciated.

I can’t come up with a gentle way to say this: It’s 2006. High capacity hard drives are cheap. Do yourself a favor and get some more storage.
