Vegas 640 iPod videos wont synch at resolutions other than 480.
I encoded several videos using Vegas 7c. I changed the bitrate a bit (that sounds redundant) from the default, but I did it on all of them. The one that’s encoded at 640×480 synchs to my iPod just fine. But the others at 640×352 & 640×368 won’t synch. This is disapointing. Especially since a certain free software, which I’m doing beta testing on for it’s next version, can convert video to both these resolutions, and the results synch. I’m affraid Sony’s going to have to do another update before this preset is a valid option for podcasters and those who just want to offer things for synching to iPod.

Only the unmodified template will work for iPod 640 at this time. That’s the way it is for now, but thanks for explaining your needs, we’ll look at extending the output capabilities in a future revision.

You on the development team Dropout? If so, cool, you guys are awesome.
Though you said “unmodified” I’m pretty sure I modified the bitrate and it synched fine, its just when I modified the vertical resolution.
