Vegas 6 vs. 6 + DVD
I am thinking of purchasing Vegas 6. I will be using it mostly for editing home movies of the kids and creating short movies (with the kids as actors). I currently use Ulead VideoStudio, Pinnacle Studio and most recently Adobe Premier Pro 1.5 (hate the learning curve).
Should I purchase Vegas 6 or Vegas 6 plus DVD?

Looking at your needs, it sounds like Vegas might be overkill for you. I’d suggest it’s “baby brother”, Vegas MovieStudio+DVD.
The software was just updated for the new version and, among it’s new features is the ability to import video from DVD camcorders, something Vegas can’t do easily.
This takes care of the MPEG-2 editing question you aked in another thread.
