i’ve got vegas 6D and a AMD X2 4400+ running at 4800+ speeds. i was always under the impression hat 6d used dual core when possible to render stuff. but i’m using cineform’s intermediate HD codec and when i scrub and preview my timeline, it only uses 1 core. withsome special effects turned on, the framerate can drop to single digits and still, only one core. when i pre-render my timeline to DV for preview, it uses once again, a single core.

when i render to wmvHD or cineform’s intermediate codec, it uses one core. so when does vegas actually take advantage of 2 cores? the only time i see 2 cores being used is when i render mp3s…
