Vegas 4.0 question
I don’t know if anyone has the answer to this but I am switching over to Avid and want to give my copy of Vegas to my brother to use on there computer. Will they be able to use it even though it was originaly registered in my name?

Yes. The BEST way is to contact customer service and tell them you are giving up ownership and who the new owner is. They can give you the specific instructions. After doing this, a new serial number will be generated for your brother to use so, to him, it will be just like a new purchase.
It *may* not be possible to upgrade after this process (it WON’T be possible if it was already used for an upgrade). Check with customer service to see. He will only need the serial number and should just download the most current update from the website for installation.
