    Vegas 15, MXF Crash w/ Nested Projects

    Child1.veg … assorted media, opens fine
    Child2.veg … assorted media including 2 MXF files, opens fine.

    Parent.veg … add Child1.veg to Media Pool, ok; add Child2.veg to Media Pool, Vegas 15 (build 416) dies (Not Responding). Need to kill with Process Explorer.

    The 2 MXF files are in Child2.veg’s Media Pool but are NOT used in any Tracks. Remove them from Child2 and the file can be nested in Parent.

    MXF files created via Vegas, Sony XAVC / XAVC S format. They play fine in a variety of media players. If added to a Track in Child2, Child2 plays fine.
    Only when Child2 is nested …. Vegas crashes.

    Is this a known problem in Vegas 15 …. and if so, is it FIXED in Vegas 17 ?

    I don’t know if it’s a known issue but as the current version is 17 and you’re on 15, I’d say it won’t be fixed even if it is known.
