    Hey All,

I just picked up an Asus ROG GL702VM laptop to use in my productions and also for editing.
It has an i7 7700 with an NVIDIA GTX 1060 (6GB RAM), 16 GB RAM, 256 NVME SSD system drive and 1TB 7200 2.5 HDD.

When I am editing with MVP and not using a secondary monitor, everything is just awesome. When I plug in using the onboard HDMI cable and try to either use my secondary monitor as an external preview OR as my main GUI Window for Vegas, it hangs and then crashes. All the setting are matching for the secondary monitor when I look at them in Vegas, so this is really odd. I also tried to disable GSync on the GPU and that didn’t help either.

    Any ideas would be welcome!!

That’s odd… Does this monitor and laptop has VGA connections you could try instead of the HDMI?

It has HDMI (full sized) and miniDP, which I do not wish to use as that is also an option for Thunderbolt (which I plan to use for an external input card via an Echo Express SE1.
