I am currently off-lining a broadcast project on SVP 12 which will be on-lined in Avid MC6.

I have downloaded the fully functioning avid MC 6 trial in order to test the workflow and so far I have encountered two issues:

    1) the main one is that Avid MC 6 simply is not reading the exported .aaf from Vegas. Error message is: ‘encountered exception – failed to import a clip. When I import then drop the .aff into the MC6 timeline the edl looks appears but it’s all off line and there is no audio. – audio was recorded separately but is synced in the SVP12 timeline. I tried relinking the footage but this didn’t work!

    2) The footage is a mixture of DSLR (7D) and Canon HDV tape. Importing the 7D footage was obviously fine (but far slower on Avid than in SVP 12 as it re-encodes it!) However AVID it won’t import the .M2T files generated by vegas from the HDV tape.

Anyone a) Successfully exported to .aff Media Composer from a vegas timeline

    b) suggest a wrapper for my M2t cl;ips that MC6 will recognise?

Thanks in advance for your help.
