Gents, I spent my whole sunday with this issue and ive just about had it. Out of nowhere today I go into one of my veg’s and all the audio I added will not play when previewing. *No mute is not on. Funny enough, if I delete all of the tracks and then find an mp3 and add it, it wont play the song, it will play some audio from some video I took that isn’t event on the project. really really weird. So I uninstalled my 394 build and installed the new build. Worked fine. Then I shutdown the computer and restarted vegas. Same issue happened again. Close the app, open the app. Same problem. The audio in a video I shot will play, but separate mp3/audio I drag in will show its there but no sound except certain areas and that sound wont be from that file.

I must have uninstalled and installed4 times with the same thing happening. It will work upon reinstalling, then once restart computer, reopen. Bad to whatever bug this could be. Iv tried a # of different veg’s, different mp3’s from different folders, and same issue. Don’t know what to do.

Any ideas on what this could be. Since it happened to both builds it worries me even more. thx!

Hey guys. Just one note. There were times I uninstalled and reinstalled and it didn’t fix the issue temporarily. Totally perplexed by this happening all of a sudden

Do any of you think it could be disk issues?

Gents, does my description not make sense or has no one ever run into this issue before. Interestingly enough windows 8 says i cannot restore at any point due to some disc issue. Hoping this is related to my Sony Vegas audio issue. Any insight or confirmation that no one has seen my problem before would be much appreciated. Thx

    Sounds like a Windoze issue.

Hey guys. So got this figured out…I hope. So all windows 8 scan disk, check/r and other tools were showing hard drive was fine. Took it into geek squad since I had warranty and tech support and they ran a diagnostic and it failed every single drive test which they said was a first for them. They replaced the drive, and luckily I created a system image to recover from bc the computer would have had to go to asus since win 8 does not come with media nor will manufacturer send you it. In any case, got it home, loaded vegas, files etc. All is working well. Had it for a minute where no sound was coming on most the mp3s and then everything worked fine. Shut it down, restarted, opened vegas, and still fine thankfully. Thanks for all the help!
