Vegas 11/Sony Z1-U not compatible with 1394b?
I am trying to download from my Sony Z1-U into Windows 7 Professional, plenty of RAM, but it is saying “Device not recognized”. I have a 1394a cable and port but the device controller is only indicating a 1394b (Firewire 800) controller. Is that the problem? Is there a workaround so the computer will “see” the camera? Would a 400 to 8oo adaptor cable solve it? Thanks!

If you are using Windows 7, you might have to revert to the legacy fire wire driver
