  Vector Logo exported as PNG goes blurry when inserted to Word and PDF’d

  I have created a logo in Illustrator CS5 which incoporates text (I have converted to outlines) and a graphic that has gradient fills.

  Looks fine and PDF/prints fine from Adobe product (ID etc).

  When I export to 300dpi PNG the file looks fine, and also looks fine inserted into Word. When I PDF the Word doc it looks weathered/blurry particulary the edges of the graphic.

  I have gone through the steps in Word to ensure it is not compressing images – I have also made sure creating the PDF (using the Save As, Adobe PDF option) that I have selected High Quality Print as the PDF output. I still have the same weathered results…can anyone help?
