I received some line art that is white and I am adding it over a video shot. It is suppose to appear as if Im looking through the viewfinder of a camera. I want to make the provided white grid, just mentioned, a color other than white, like orange. How do I do this in AE CS$? Any help?

i think the fill effect should allow you to change the color of the graphic. it essentially just lets you pick a color but keeps the layer’s alpha.

Use a Color Correction > Tint effect and map white to whatever colour you want.

    Easy!

EDIT: Just saw Kevin’s answer. His method is a bit more robust if your line art is not absolute white or black.

    Cheers,
