    Hey guys , first : I’m sorry for my english but It’s not my fisrt language but I think this forum is my only hope .
    And now let’s get to the point : A month ago I bought a new computer ft. the awful evil Windows Vista (and I think my problem is in part due to vista since I didn’t have any trouble like this with XP ) So I’m trying to install Sony Vegas 7.0 (and I even try movie studio 8.0) but everytime this problem shows up –
    The Following components are required by this software : Micorsoft Visual c++ 2005 redistributable .

    Then I click on INSTALL and another problem shows up!
    This feature is in a network resource not available.
    – Click on OK to retry or specify on the box belove the path of a folder which contain the application package istallation :”Vcredist.msi” …

    So what? this drive me crazy, I installed this vcredist package (which It turned out I have already installed on my computer) . What I have to do;_____ ;
    Please Help me . Thanks in advance! (I hope you understand me!)

    i just installed V7 on fresh Vista 64 installation. There was a problem with the mediamanager, needed some file for that. but the rest did install well. The mediamanager I can do without, so no further problems.

    Bear in mind that Vista 64 is uncharted territory. Vegas does not support Vista (or XP) 64, so use/install at your own risk.
    No media manager in 64 bit is well-documented.

    I am running Vista 32 and I am getting exactly the same problem as set out above. Seems to be a problem removing the old C++ 2005 so that the Vegas Pro 8 can install a later one. Hope someone comes up with an answer soon. I’ve spent two days trying to figure this one out. If you do comes up with an answer please let me know.

    I have found the solution to the problem. Just go to https://thejevans.com/halo2errorfix.aspx Follow the instructions and remove C++ 2005 and then run the Vegas 8 installation. Works fine!
