Varicam Work Flow. AJ-HD1400
Hi there,
I’m setting up a project that was shot 23.976 fps on DVC Pro. I’m rough cutting on a Meridian MC 12.11 and will be conforming on FCP.
Sitting here, I’m finding a couple of issues. Firstly, I don’t have a deck setting for the Panasonic AJ-HD1400 that I’m loading the footage from. I didn’t find one on the Avid website, so I’m going ahead and using the AJ-D750 deck setting as a substitute.
I set the project up in 23.976 and started loading the footage. Everything works great, except I’ve got 30fps. I checked the deck and it’s outputting 30fps, and I CAN’T FIGURE OUT HOW TO CHANGE THE DECK TO OUTPUT 23.976.
Does anyone know this deck or give me some words of advice before loading six hours of footage.

23.976 in DVCPRO land is always 59.94 with 30fps timecode for deck control. That is the nature of the format.
