I have been asked to have transferred to film from HD a 30 sec Spot
that was shot on the Panasonic Varicam and mastered to 1920×1080 50i

the 35 mm prints they require are the following:

    6 x 1.85:1 flat prints
    3 x cinemascope ratio prints 2.35:1

Can anyone recommend a lab that can do this for me.
Also what are the main issues I need to worry about in preparing the Video for delivery to the lab ?

It was shot with FILM Rec and a Gama setting of 0.45. with -3db at 25 fps on the Varicam. Initially it was just going to be transferred to PAL. Now they want it on film and I have been told that there is no where in the Middle east that can do a reverse telecine print from HD.

    any advice much appreciated

    cheers nick

I am doing this exact thing right now with a lab in the Toronto area called Cine-byte.

    https://www.cinebyte.com/

I am sure if you send them the film on a drive they can baselight corect the 2k and do your film transfer. Try not to send a color corrected version as you will loose the benifits of correcting in the film color space.
