    Hi all,

    I would really appeciate some advice about a shoot I’m about to do using the varicam, shooting 24fps.
    I have to edit as we shoot due to deadlines, and I want to know if it’s OK to playback footage from the camera via firewire into an AVID, then online from a deck at a later deck, or do I need to hire a deck for the whole process? money is tight so if I can save then I need to, but I don’t want to jeapodise the edit,

    The Varicam does not provide a firewire connection. However the HDX900 does have firewire.
