  Varicam AJ-HDC27H and AJ-HD1200A VTR problem

  Hi,

  I’m new at my work and the guys here are using the old AJ-HDC27HF varicam with hd1200a. I looked at their old works and all captured footages and dvds are flickering and faulty.

  My question is; the varicam is set to 60Hz 25 fps, the VTR outputs 59.94 and because of that, in FC i can only capture 59.94 which playbacks normal ( few duplicates ). When I capture with 25 fps quick settings there is a lot of duplicate frames in the footage with different patterns. ( exp: ABCDDEFGGG )
  The VTR only has SDI output ( no firewire ). When I cabled Varicam directly to FC, the output is 60 and i can capture 25 Fps without problems.
  I’m new at my job and the boss whats flicker free PAL DVD’s 🙂
