    Atl,

I usually run the detail on but turned down all the way on the ECU. Sometimes the number reads -20 other times -19!

Just surfed around earlier and happened on this thread about the Varicam new H. I just found out this week that their was a H model. A DP friend came by to load some settings in my F model Varicam and it didn’t read card. After screwing with it awhile I saw in the card reader that his said H where mine said F. We just changed the H to and F saved back to SD card and the thing loaded up. Maybe lucky?

I don’t know how much longer before I should dump and run. I didn’t get a few of the series projects that I thought I would have, and so far this hasn’t been the best business plan. In addition with Mr. Cuban and a few other saying 1080 or nothing I’m starting to see the end of the road for 720p.

I really think the camera is great and for me I like what it does over the Cine Alta and more cost effective. As some have said remember betacam vs. MII. Sony is a tough competitor and I think they would do and will do anything to bury Panasonic in the higher end HD market. So Panasonic should have been smarter with the owner base they finally built, and saved the H mod a little longer, then roll out the big change. I think we would all understand better with that stadegy.

If you think you might have been stung by buying a Vari F recently well let me tell you what good old Pan did for me. I ordered my gear last day 2003 and received it late Jan 2004. Well I received my 130 deck and was a happy camper until a few weeks later I hear about the 1200a coming at NAB, and the 130 was discontinued.
