Just wondering how to get the the audio to match up with the variable speed change I made. In other words I need the sound to slow down and speed back up gradually. I am using Final Cut Studio 2 (Im sure soundtrack is able to do it just not sure how to acheive this)

Hmm, last time I used variable speed it affected the audio, too. You can see the speed indicators on the timeline, use the little switch thingy in the bottom left corner to choose what is displayed n the timeline.

If the audio did not change with the video, the tracks were unlinked and will now be different lengths.

I’m having the same problem. The audio and video are linked, but only the video changes speed.

Variable speed is a video only effect. Standard speed effects affect sound.

    Thanks, Kevin, my mistake.
Gonna have to try it again when I get back from vacation.
