  • Variable or value expected, but found = expression disabled

    Hi. I’m trying to create an effect where at a certain point in time, my displacement map starts to wiggle itself. So I made this expression on the ‘Max Horizontal Displacement’

    if(thisComp.layer(“Slider”).effect(“Slider Control”)(“Slider”))=1){wiggle(5,20)
    }else{
    wiggle(0,0)};

    However, I get the warining ‘Variable or value expected, but found = Expression disabled. Error occured
    at line 1.

    What is wrong with the code? Please help!
    Thanks 🙂

    You were very close. This should fix it:

    if(thisComp.layer(“Slider”).effect(“Slider Control”)(“Slider”)==1) wiggle(5,20) else wiggle(0,0);

    (Note the “==”)
