  • V10 file format and back save…

Posted by Greg Serafin on April 7, 2007 at 7:28 am

    Hi gang,
    I can’t find any info on back-saving from V10.
9.6 says “unknown file format” – bad news…
Any ideas on how to go 10 to 9.6?
    TIA

No can do, I’m afraid. Too many new features in R10 that R9 would have no idea how to handle. Best you can do is to export objects and import into R9, or if you have animation, try exporting/importing in .fbx format.

    Thanks Adam,
    Bummer, bummer, bummer…
A back-save (even with some feature loss) would be nice, at least for the models.
Simple generators, HN etc, don’t seem that much different.
Oh, well, upgrade=money it is then.
