using widescreen footage in a 4:3 project
Hi,
Im editting a showreel which contains both widescreen (16:9) footage and regular (4:3) footage. most of the footage is 4:3 so i wish that the project will be 4:3.
i have captured the 16:9 footage while using 16:9 settings.
but when i import the 16:9 clip into my 4:3 project it appears to be streched.
what i want is to work in a 4:3 project, and have the 16:9 footags appear with a letterbox.
how can i do this?

Hi Eva,
When you import a 16:9 clip into your 4:3 project bin, right-click the clip and choose “Interpret Footage” and choose the appropriate pixel aspect from the list to get the correct look.
In the event that you would want to eliminate the black bars on any of these clips, use Adobe Motion > Scale to enlarge the clip until it fills the screen. Some image will be cropped from the right and left, but you can adjust left or right using Motion to crop as needed.
