  • Using volume envelopes with stereo files

When I use volume envelopes with stereo files for music under voiceover, I am bringing the envelope to the middle of the bottom channel. If I don’t do this, the bottom channel is still full volume.

But this means I have eliminated all audio from the top channel, and created a mono waveform. Is there any way to reduce the volume in each channel so I can maintain a stereo waveform?

    Thanks!

Sounds like you are accessing the fader control (left to right).

Thanks for your suggestion, but it’s not the fader control. I am adjusting the volume control (the green line at the top of the track), but in order to reduce the level of both channels in a stereo recording, I need to bring the volume control all the way down through the top channel to a position in the middle of the bottom channel. It seems to me that cuts out the volume of the top channel.
