Anyone here a beta tester for the Duel Adapter into a MacBook Pro Express 34 slot and importing P2 content?

I have been in contact with the company and they claim it requires a driver that Panasonic needs to write? I thought that adapter was a translator from Express 34 to PCMCIA and users of the Powerbooks with PCMCIA slots were able to us the P2 import successfully.

If that is the case, then the Duel Adapter needs a driver for that device and the responsibility would be Duel not Panasonic.

    Which is correct?

    Hi,

They are probably using the PCMCIA Driver that is on our website. One of the consultants we use has one of the Betas and it is working now, so it isn’t a big deal. It is available.

    Best,

What ever happened to the P2 2-slot reader that had Firewire 800, Firewire 400, and USB on it that I say at NAB last year? Is that ever going to come out?

    Thanks Jan,

I would like to ask if you could be a little more specific about this adapter used on a MacBook Pro. I know that this is not a Panasonic issue, but any helpful information about using this with my HVX200 will be most appreciated.

If your beta testing associate has been able to make the Duel Adapter work importing P2 contents into the MBP, I would really like to know what steps are required to make it happen.
