Using text in Veg13
I am finishing an edit requiring text in two colors in the same lines. Is there a work around to to do that with out using two tracks and two text boxes? I cant find a way to create 2 colors in the same text box :(.
Also, is there a way to use the color codes such as FFFFFFF (white) and 00000 (black) in the text editor?

Rob I don’t think there is a way with Text & Title or Legacy Text. You probably need to use some like ProType Titler or maybe NewBlue.

ProType Titler will do this … I’ve used it extensively with VP13 .. It comes with VP13. Never had any problems with it crashing.

Rob, like Paul the ProType Titler works fine for me. I notice you are running build 545 which is the Magix version. I’m running the last build from Sony 453. I’m not sure if that makes a difference, but if you wanted to try, you probably can revert back to build 453 with your serial number, unless perhaps you bought your Vegas Pro from Magix when they bought out Sony and issued their first build which was supposed only changing the name space. But, if I remember correctly (maybe not I’m getting really old!!) there were a few problems with that build and most of us just kept the build 453.
Perhaps Paul can let us know what build he is on.

Yep George. My VP13 is still running Build 453. Still using it on occasion.

I use DaVinci Resolve 15.2.3. To avoid the learning curve you amy want to consider Vegas Pro 16, which I also have. You can download the trial version and try it out. It is full features with the exception I think it restricts rendering to 2 minutes.

Rob, I’m not following what you are showing in those screenshots, they are all different. When I use ProType Titler in VP13, the render is exactly what I have in the Preview.
If you are getting something different when you post it to Facebook, I really don’t know what will cause that.
Can you post screenshots of the Media Generator you are using in VP13, what it looks like in the Preview and what is looks like in a render?

That is what is in the last post:
1st SS is the UI view with Vegas Text and titles and how it looks
2nd is Facebook
3rd is rendered and playing on my computer.Yes it’s very confusing since I’ve used the titles and text tool for years. It must be due to the formatting I have to use: 1080×1080. the text isn’t conforming so i have to guess as to final sizes.
